Grand Prairie is a wonderful place to live all year round, but it truly comes alive in the summer. There are a number of fun, family-friendly activities to suit different interests. Here are just a few of the fun summer events in Grand Prairie you should consider heading to this year.
A Texas Airhogs game. Summer just wouldn’t be as great without baseball. Grab the kids and take them out for one of Grand Prairie’s own Texas Airhog’s ball game. The Airhogs are playing all summer, so you can catch one of the games at any point during the season.
The Tejano Music Festival. Spice up your life with some fun Tejano music. Hosted by local radio station, Tejano to the Bone, this festival will have rides, games, prizes, and entertainment for the whole family. Music beings at the Big Red Patio at 1pm, admission is free, and parking is only $4.
Lone Stars & Stripes Celebration. Nothing says “summer” more than a Fourth of July celebration — so, add the Lone Stars & Stripes Celebration to your calendar. On July 3rd and 4th from 3pm to 9pm, stop by Lone Star Park to catch some family fun, live music, and fireworks. Advanced admission starts at $10, and you can obtain tickets here.
