If you’ve been wishing on your lucky star that the Silverado 1500 will become even more budget-friendly, then you have just received your wish. Chevrolet has recently announced that the 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 price on the LT trim level will cost $700 less than last year’s model.
“For more than 100 years, Chevrolet has developed a reputation for building trucks that offer incredible performance, capability, and value,” said Brian Sweeney, Chevrolet U.S. Vice President. “The next-gen Silverado continues that tradition, offering more interior and cargo room, higher towing and payload capacities, and a lower starting MSRP on our highest-volume model.”
For the 2019 model year, the Silverado LT will have a new standard engine: a 2.7-liter inline-four. This engine outputs 310 horsepower and 348 lb-ft of torque, managing to deliver 22 percent more torque than the V6 engine it’s replacing. And that’s not the only change.
The Silverado has lost 450 pounds compared to last year’s model, while still gaining four cubic feet of interior volume and a larger area in the cargo bed. In fact, the new Silverado’s short bed has more cargo volume that Ford’s F-150 standard bed, making it perfect for those that haul a lot of stuff.
