Earlier this year, Chevrolet announced two new special edition models — the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban Premier Plus editions. Both models are powered by Chevy’s popular 6.2-liter V8 engine, which cranks out 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
The V8 will be paired with the Hydra-Matic 10-speed automatic transmission, praised by critics for its efficiency and smooth shifty. Magnetic Ride Control also enhances performance in the new special edition models.
“Our customers have shown strong demand for both Tahoe and Suburban with the optional 6.2-liter V8 option,” said Sandor Piszar, director of Chevrolet Trucks Marketing and Advertising. “36 percent of all Chevy full-size SUV special edition models are now sold with this engine. Premier Plus gives both Suburban and Tahoe customers another option to choose from with several added premium touches.”
The Tahoe and Suburban Premier Plus special editions will ride on 22-inch polished wheels. The exteriors will boast gold Chevrolet bowties and chrome for the nameplate badges, exhaust tips, and power steps. Inside, these models will include a head-up display, heated and ventilated front seats, and more.
